As part of the collaboration between London Community Gospel Choir (LCGC) and Holland Baroque, there will be workshops by Bazil Meade on Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3.

Bazil Meade is the conductor and founder of LCGC, one of the best known gospel choirs in the world, praised for its warm, rich sound and charismatic performances.

Come swing and sing!
Bazil will demonstrate gospel by singing a famous hymn / spiritual. Then you will learn 1 or 2 old spiritual slave songs, though more recent gospel songs will also be covered. You are guaranteed a swinging and inspiring workshop and a unique opportunity to work with one of the icons of gospel.

Straight from your heart and soul
The way to learn to sing gospel is to listen to it, repeat it, and ultimately sing yourself. This all happens without text or sheet music, only by relying on the (vocal) memory. Gospel is pure emotion and singing it comes from your heart and soul. Definitely worth it to dive into gospel greatness with Bazil Meade.
Prior to the Gospel Baroque concert (with LCGC and Holland Baroque) you will have the opportunity to sing what you have learned in the foyer.
